The first Digital Repair Café, at MK SNAP

· Axel Segebrecht

Two people stand at a bench of opened-up laptops while a man in a gilet sits and watches a screen showing the Debian 13 installer.

It was rainy, but everybody was in good spirits.

Eleven of the 27 people who registered turned up on the day, and those who couldn’t make it have said they want to join us next time.

On the bench:

  • Two machines went from Windows 7 and Windows 10 to Linux Mint.
  • One laptop got fresh thermal paste.
  • Three machines were cleaned out.

We also had a lovely time talking about how to restore ageing machines.

The next one is being organised now. Get the newsletter to hear when and where.
