Join a digital drop-in session
Our free digital drop-in runs for one hour every week over lunchtime. It is an online chat: you type your questions and our subject matter experts answer on video, so you never need to turn on your own camera or microphone.

FAQ
Drop-in questions and answers
What software do I need to join the drop-in?
No special software is needed. We will send you a link to a website that works in all modern browsers.
How do I ask questions?
You can post one question at a time in the chat. We may not have time to answer every question, and answers may not come in the order they were asked.
Do I need to turn on my video?
No. You do not need to turn on your video. The host will be on video, and sometimes sharing their screen, but you never have to.
Do I have to give you my full name?
No. First names only is fine, and you can use a made-up name if you prefer.
Will sessions be recorded?
No. We do not record or transcribe our drop-ins.
Is there a limit to how many questions I can ask?
No, you can ask as many as you like. We may not get to all of them, and we try to balance the questions we pick so everyone in the chat has a chance to find answers.
Will the chat still work when the drop-ins are not on?
Yes. The chat and your access details stay live for as long as the drop-ins run. Please do not share your private links with anyone. If you would like someone else to join, please ask them to fill in the short form at digitalrepaircafe.org/dropins.
Do I need to introduce myself?
No. You do not need to tell us anything about yourself and can ask your question straight away. If you would like to say a little about yourself, you are welcome to.
